Registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses and nurse aides all appear on that category's occupation list, which is why this is the round most nurses should be watching. For contrast, the Canadian Experience Class round three days earlier, on September 1, 2026, cut off at 521, per the ministerial instructions rounds table on canada.ca. The same table shows the Provincial Nominee Program round of August 31, 2026 cutting off at 697, but that is not a comparable number: canada.ca says PNP specific rounds invite candidates who hold a provincial or territorial nomination, and a nomination is worth 600 CRS points on its own.

What CRS score do I need as a nurse?

475, in the round held on September 4, 2026. The more useful answer is that the healthcare cut-off has stayed in a narrow band for well over a year while the general and program rounds have not. According to the ministerial instructions rounds table on canada.ca, every healthcare round since July 2025 has landed between 462 and 476. The two rounds before that, in May and June 2025, invited only 500 candidates each and cut off at 510 and 504. The second mistake is treating the category as the whole application. Category-based selection decides who gets invited out of the Express Entry pool.
